Taiwanese electrical retailer Tsann Kuen is bringing its multi-brand resources to Taiwan’s franchise sector. According to the Commercial Times, the company is participating in the 2026 Taiwan Chain Franchise and Entrepreneurship Exhibition in Taichung and the Taichung International Shop Equipment Exhibition, held from 1 to 4 May 2026 at the Taichung International Convention and Exhibition Centre. Its joint display targets the market for start-up equipment and commercial applications.
Four brands come together to showcase equipment for new outlets
Tsann Kuen is exhibiting alongside Panasonic, SAMPO, De’Longhi and Crown Coffee. Rather than announcing a new food and beverage franchise, the display brings equipment and brand resources into a shop-opening context, reaching visitors looking to start businesses or make commercial purchases.
Holding the franchise and shop equipment exhibitions together gives equipment suppliers direct access to operators preparing to open outlets. For prospective franchisees, equipment procurement requires separate assessment alongside comparisons of brands and franchise terms. The joint display offers an introduction to resources from different brands, but should not automatically be treated as a complete shop-opening package.
Moving from appliance sales towards integrated services
Tsann Kuen says it is strengthening its ability to bring brands together and developing its membership programme. Its aim is to create an ‘integrated ecosystem’ combining resources from multiple brands, as it evolves into a retail and distribution service provider offering integrated solutions.
This positioning is central to its exhibition strategy: Tsann Kuen wants to offer more than products from individual brands, using its retail and distribution capabilities to expand into commercial applications. Franchisors and prospective franchisees considering these services should first establish which requirements the supplier can meet, then confirm whether equipment selection, installation and after-sales services are quoted separately.
The franchise expo is one step in a wider expansion
Tsann Kuen has internally designated 2026 as a ‘year of renewed momentum’. It says it is pursuing growth through diversification as the global economy slows and market sentiment becomes more cautious.
Its moves into other sectors also include participating in pet exhibitions and opening co-branded shops with Rokid and Roborock. The Taichung franchise expo is therefore not a standalone appearance, but part of a broader effort to extend its market reach. These initiatives indicate the company’s direction, but do not provide a basis for estimating orders generated by the franchise expo or commercial equipment sales.
Purchasing decisions must still reflect each outlet’s needs
For franchisees preparing to open an outlet, seeing several brands in one place can help with initial comparisons. Actual purchases should still be assessed item by item against the outlet’s intended use, available space and budget. In particular, domestic and commercial settings place different demands on equipment. Buyers should ask suppliers to confirm suitability, warranty coverage and repair arrangements, rather than comparing prices alone.
Practical tip: start by listing the outlet’s essential equipment and operating requirements, then request a written quotation and a breakdown of services. Whether a multi-brand package is suitable should depend on the business’s actual operational needs.
