Pigmentare opens concept store and prepares for franchise expansion

Pigmentare Texturas e Revestimentos de Alto Padrão, a Brazilian premium textured finishes and coatings company, is opening a concept store in Granja Viana, Cotia, in Greater São Paulo, as part of its franchise expansion plan. Having operated in the region for seven years, the company aims to sell 30 franchises and have 20 outlets operating by December 2026.

Concept store will showcase the franchise model

According to information published by Mercado & Consumo on 28 October, the new store will do more than display products. It will also serve as a model outlet to demonstrate the franchise format and support training for future franchisees.

The opening therefore brings together two strands of the project: showcasing Pigmentare’s commercial offering and preparing entrepreneurs to operate under the brand. For those following new franchise opportunities, the key element of the announcement is this combination of a reference outlet and the support structure promised to franchisees.

Marcos Breves, a partner and director of the company, says the aim is to provide more than a brand and product portfolio. According to him, Pigmentare wants to offer a framework for sales, management and business relationships that helps generate opportunities and supports the growth of each outlet.

Estimated investment starts at R$190,000

The estimated initial investment for a franchise outlet ranges from R$190,000 to R$230,000 (Brazilian reais). This includes a franchise fee of R$80,000, according to figures supplied by the company.

For an established outlet, Pigmentare projects monthly turnover of approximately R$300,000. The estimated payback period is between six and 12 months, depending on the outlet’s performance. Both figures are franchisor projections, not guaranteed results for every new outlet.

The reference to an established outlet is worth noting when assessing the proposition: the projected turnover is not presented as revenue for a newly opened store. Similarly, the advertised payback period depends on the performance of each business, as the brand itself states.

When evaluating the opportunity, it is therefore worth distinguishing between three figures: the investment required to join the network, the estimated revenue of an established outlet and the projected time needed to recover the investment. These are separate indicators and should be discussed individually with the franchisor.

First phase focuses on São Paulo and Minas Gerais

The first phase of the plan will focus on São Paulo city, Greater São Paulo, Jundiaí, Bragança Paulista and Poços de Caldas, in the state of Minas Gerais. The announced strategy thus builds on the region where the company already operates while extending to other locations across the two states.

The targets of selling 30 franchises and reaching 20 operating outlets share the same deadline: December 2026. They represent different stages of expansion. Selling a franchise does not, in itself, mean that the corresponding outlet has opened.

This distinction helps readers track the project’s progress without confusing signed agreements with stores actually trading. The published figures reflect Pigmentare’s targets for the end of 2026, rather than the number of outlets already open.

Support includes construction project prospecting and mentoring

The announced model includes support with management, technology, marketing, identifying construction projects as potential sales opportunities, and developing business relationships. The proposed support therefore covers both running the outlet and activities aimed at generating business and engaging with prospective customers.

The company also plans an accelerator programme for its first ten franchisees. This will include in-person training, support during the set-up phase and mentoring from the founders. The concept store will form part of the training infrastructure for future franchisees, serving as a reference outlet to demonstrate the operating model.

For prospective franchisees, the practical next step is to use the model outlet to explore the proposition and request details of the financial projections, set-up stages and support available. A visit can help turn initial interest into a more concrete assessment before an investment decision is made.
