Açaí Paradise is opening its franchise programme across Spain after launching two outlets, in Granada and Seville. Founded in 2024, the brand offers a takeaway açaí bowl concept using compact premises with no conventional kitchen or kitchen extraction flue. Its offering includes an initial franchise fee of €10,000 and support from head office before and during the launch.
Two openings as a starting point
The first Açaí Paradise outlet opened on 7 January 2024 in Plaza de la Universidad in Granada. From the outset, the concept focused on takeaway sales. The second outlet opened in March 2026 in Plaza Cristo de Burgos in Seville, extending the brand’s presence to another Andalusian provincial capital.
According to information published on 22 October by L’Express Franchise, drawing on data from Emprendedores and the brand itself, the company is now offering franchises throughout Spain. This marks a move from those two outlets towards recruiting new franchisees; the nationwide availability of the programme should not be confused with an established network across the country.
The brand’s origins lie in its founder’s experience in Australia, where he discovered açaí and identified an opportunity to develop the concept in Spain. It is entering a franchise market where other specialist networks, such as Oakberry, already operate.
A menu focused on açaí
The offering centres on one main product, served in a variety of ways. The menu includes five signature recipes: Paradise, Brasil, Tropical, Dulce and Fit. Customers can also build their own bowl, choosing the size and additional ingredients, while smoothies round out the menu.
This specialisation also shapes the outlet format. Açaí Paradise proposes compact premises that do not require a conventional kitchen or kitchen extraction flue. According to the brand, this broadens the options when searching for a property.
Location is a key part of its expansion criteria. The brand seeks visibility and footfall in shopping areas, squares, promenades and university or tourist districts. An assessment of the area and premises forms part of the evaluation of each application, so the format is not presented as a one-size-fits-all solution for every location.
The absence of a conventional kitchen is a feature of the concept, not a guarantee of viability in itself. Prospective franchisees should distinguish this operational advantage from the assessment of a particular property and the financial conditions of each opening.
Initial franchise fee and turnover-based payments
The published financial terms specify an initial franchise fee of €10,000. Two recurring payments apply in addition: an operating royalty of 4% of turnover and an advertising contribution of 1% of turnover.
Together, these payments amount to 5% of turnover, although they serve different purposes. This calculation basis matters when preparing forecasts: the fees are charged on revenue, not on the outlet’s profit.
The €10,000 should be understood as the fee for joining the brand, not as the full opening budget. Before committing to an investment, applicants should request a breakdown distinguishing this fee from the other expenditure needed to launch their outlet. This avoids presenting an entry requirement as though it were the total cost of the project.
Training and support through to opening
Açaí Paradise states that previous hospitality experience is not essential. Each application is assessed individually through a nine-stage process leading up to opening, including an evaluation of the proposed area and premises.
The support offered by head office includes selected suppliers and initial training for the franchisee and their team. It also covers assistance with branding, recruitment and preparation of the launch plan, alongside on-site support during the first few days of trading.
For prospective franchisees, the next practical step is to verify three elements before deciding: the full opening budget, the suitability of the premises and the contractual scope of the support offered. These checks make it possible to assess the proposition beyond the initial franchise fee and the appeal of a compact format.
