LIS 2026 at ICE BSD to Connect Indonesia’s Laundry Industry

Apique Group and Expo Laundry will hold the Laundry Innovation Summit (LIS) 2026 at ICE BSD City, Indonesia, on 13–14 November 2026. The forum will focus on collaboration between business owners, suppliers, technology providers and industry communities, with the aim of helping laundry businesses develop new market opportunities.

Connecting Business Strategy with Operational Needs

According to a Kontan report dated 22 October 2026, LIS 2026 is designed to encourage laundry operators to move beyond simply following trends. The organisers want discussions to focus on creating opportunities through innovation, collaboration and stronger competitiveness.

The event’s theme emphasises business development beyond laundry services themselves, while its supporting theme highlights the creation of an interconnected ecosystem to support growth across Indonesia. In this context, connectivity means not just relationships between outlet owners, but also links with providers of machinery, products, technology and business expertise.

LIS 2026 is targeting 350 participants. The planned programme includes panel discussions, seminars, an exhibition and business networking. This figure is an attendance target, not a confirmed turnout or a final event result.

For franchise and business partnership communities following developments in laundry services, these topics offer a useful basis for assessing a network’s operational support. The focus extends beyond opening an outlet to consider how relationships with suppliers and solution providers can support day-to-day operations.

Apique Brings a Network of More Than 800 Partners

Apique Group focuses on developing laundry businesses in Indonesia through education, research and innovation in business strategy. Its ecosystem includes more than 800 laundry partners across the country.

In the Kontan report, Apik emphasised the need to connect the laundry ecosystem across the entire value chain. This includes business owners, suppliers, technology providers and industry communities. The aim is to encourage operators to look beyond their own operations and create added value and sustainable growth.

The partner count reflects the reach of Apique’s ecosystem, not the number of LIS 2026 participants. This distinction matters: the size of the company’s network should not be confused with the capacity or eventual results of the forum scheduled for November.

For prospective business partners, discussion of the ecosystem can be translated into more concrete questions: what support is available once the business is operating, how is operational knowledge shared, and who can help when machinery or technology requirements change? These questions can provide a starting point for discussions, without assuming that membership of a network automatically guarantees business success.

Connecting with 300 Expo Laundry Exhibitors

Expo Laundry Director Teddy Halim explained that the collaboration brings together the business knowledge and strategy offered through LIS with products, machinery and solutions from 300 exhibitors at Expo Laundry.

It therefore connects two elements: discussions about the direction of business development and options for meeting operational needs. The figure of 300 refers to Expo Laundry exhibitors and is separate from the target of 350 LIS 2026 participants.

Linking the forum with the exhibition gives the educational programme a practical context. Participants can use insights from discussions to frame questions when viewing products or speaking to solution providers. Equally, needs identified while exploring the exhibition can inform more detailed discussions about business strategy.

However, products should still be assessed against each business’s requirements. Laundry owners and prospective partners may need to examine capacity suitability, maintenance requirements, after-sales service and their team’s ability to use the technology. These are business assessment steps, not claims about facilities or guarantees offered by the organisers.

Preparing for the Forum: Considerations for the Franchise Community

The programme of panel discussions, seminars, exhibitions and business networking can serve different objectives. Existing business owners may prioritise operational challenges, while prospective operators can use the forum to understand the relationship between equipment investment, supplier support and service management.

For members of the franchise community, the discussion of collaboration also serves as a reminder not to assess partnership opportunities on brand name alone. Knowledge support, supply relationships and clear responsibilities should each be explored before making a decision.

LIS 2026 is still a forthcoming event. Its attendance target and collaboration objectives should therefore be read as the organisers’ plans, not as evidence of business results already achieved.

Practical step: before attending, identify your three most pressing business needs and prepare a list of questions for solution providers. Use the forum to compare support and operational suitability, rather than committing immediately to a purchase or partnership.
