BAIC and Bera expand their networks ahead of Autofest Caracas

BAIC and Bera Cars have added new dealerships in Venezuela ahead of the next edition of Autofest Caracas. According to a report published by Últimas Noticias on 19 September 2026, the openings expand both brands’ presence in Caracas and Miranda. For the franchising community, they offer examples of commercial network expansion, although the available information does not identify them as franchises.

BAIC adds its eighth dealership in Venezuela

In September, BAIC opened its second dealership in Caracas, in the Santa Mónica neighbourhood. The opening brings the Chinese brand’s total to eight sales outlets nationwide, according to information gathered by Últimas Noticias at the launch event.

The dealership operates with the backing of Automotores Universal. Its offering includes specialist technical servicing, finance plans and genuine spare parts, while meeting the company’s international standards.

The opening illustrates an expansion that goes beyond adding a vehicle showroom: the site also provides after-sales support. This combination of sales, maintenance and spare parts is one of the specific features described in the report on the new premises.

BAIC’s range in Venezuela comprises six models. According to statements quoted by the newspaper, the brand officially launched in Venezuela in October 2025 and aims to end 2026 with approximately 800 vehicles sold. This is a sales target, not a result already achieved.

Bera Cars enters the Guarenas–Guatire area

Bera Cars, meanwhile, opened its ninth dealership and its first in the state of Miranda. The new facility is in the Guarenas–Guatire area, adding another location to its national sales and service network.

At the opening, the company unveiled the Livan X3 Pro. The vehicle launch accompanied the dealership opening, linking geographical expansion with a new product offering.

Últimas Noticias also outlined an in-house finance option through Bera Services: a 30% deposit, quoted as US$7,300, followed by 12 fixed instalments of US$1,225. These are the terms published in the coverage; the available material does not specify all eligibility requirements, additional charges or validity periods that might apply to the agreement.

Anyone considering this option should therefore request an up-to-date quotation and full contractual details before making a commitment. The news report establishes that the plan exists, but is no substitute for the transaction documents.

Autofest Caracas prepares for its 15th edition

The openings coincide with preparations for the 15th edition of Autofest Caracas, scheduled for 23, 24 and 25 October on the terrace of the Centro Comercial Ciudad Tamanaco shopping centre, known as CCCT.

According to the report, the event will bring together more than 40 brands and feature experience areas, including the so-called Paddock Chino, or Chinese Paddock. Finance options in conjunction with Banco Provincial have also been announced.

The event adds a date to Venezuela’s automotive trade calendar. However, the source material does not present it as a franchise exhibition or announce opportunities to acquire franchises from the brands mentioned. Its relevance to the franchising community lies in the chance to observe display, customer service and finance offerings within expanding commercial networks.

What the openings show and what remains to be confirmed

The confirmed figures describe two specific developments: BAIC now has eight dealerships nationwide, including two in Caracas, while Bera Cars has reached nine, with its first site in Miranda. Both announcements document a growing physical presence, but neither is sufficient on its own to establish the dealerships’ profitability or investment terms.

No franchise agreements, initial franchise fees, royalties or requirements for new operators have been published either. It is important to maintain this distinction: a dealership network should not automatically be presented as a franchise network.

In practice: for those in the franchising community considering the Venezuelan market, these openings offer examples of commercial expansion. Before exploring a relationship with either brand, request information directly on the contractual model, required investment, and operational and after-sales responsibilities.
