THE ART OF FUN seeks franchise partners across the region and Europe

THE ART OF FUN, a creative entertainment studio concept, is seeking franchise partners in various markets, particularly across the region and Europe. In an interview published on Franchising.si on 19 October 2026, founder Martin Lešković discussed the development of a concept that requires no artistic skills from visitors. For those exploring Slovenia’s franchise market, its combination of creative activities, private celebrations and corporate events is of particular interest.

Creativity as a way to bring people together

The basic idea behind THE ART OF FUN is to provide a space where people can have fun, connect and create something of their own. Paints, canvases and balloons form part of an experience designed for an outing with a difference, a family get-together or a gathering of colleagues. The focus is therefore not on the finished painting, but on the experience visitors create together.

Lešković stresses that no painting talent is required. This approach also appeals to people who would not normally choose an art-related activity. Here, creativity is primarily a way to spend time together, rather than a test of skill or prior artistic knowledge.

According to Lešković, the studios host birthday celebrations, individual workshops, private gatherings, team-building events and various corporate functions. The offering is therefore not limited to a single type of visit. The same concept caters for individuals and private groups, as well as businesses looking for a venue or activity to bring colleagues together.

This variety of reasons to visit is an important part of the concept. A family event and a gathering of colleagues serve different purposes, but both involve participants doing something together. THE ART OF FUN puts that shared element at the heart of its offering, rather than focusing on the complexity of painting techniques.

Franchising was part of the plan from the outset

Lešković describes his entrepreneurial journey without claiming extensive prior expertise. As he told Franchising.si, he began with no knowledge of art or franchising and little business knowledge. His starting point was the idea of a space for entertainment and socialising, coupled with enough confidence to launch his own business.

He explains that, from the outset, he wanted to develop the concept into a franchise rather than stop at a single studio. His initial unfamiliarity with franchising did not mean that expansion was an afterthought. It was part of his ambition, even though the approach still had to be worked out.

According to the founder, interest from potential partners came earlier than expected. People began approaching the business about opening their own franchises before it was fully ready to take that step. Lešković describes a development process in which interest from other entrepreneurs outpaced the original timetable.

This part of his account distinguishes between two things: the founder’s desire to expand the brand and actual approaches from people wishing to run the concept themselves. He presents both as important elements in the transition from an initial idea to a franchise business.

The search for partners extends beyond a single market

THE ART OF FUN is currently focused on finding partners in various markets. Lešković specifically mentions the region and Europe, seeking people who want to help expand the creative entertainment concept. This continues his ambition to take the business beyond a single studio.

For those interested in the Slovenian franchise market, the news primarily introduces a brand with a stated intention to expand further. A regional search for partners should not, however, be taken as confirmation of an opening in Slovenia. Lešković’s presentation focuses on the concept, its origins and interest in partnerships, rather than announcing a specific Slovenian location.

Early interest from prospective franchisees should also be understood in this context: the founder describes it as a stimulus for developing the franchise. In itself, however, it is not an indicator of how any future studio will perform commercially. For an entrepreneur considering a partnership, assessing the appeal of the experience and evaluating the specific business model are two separate tasks.

What to check before making a decision

The offering gives prospective partners a clear starting point for questions. It is worth establishing how organising a birthday party differs from running a corporate event, what skills the team needs, and which preparation and delivery tasks fall to the local partner. These are questions for due diligence, not statements about THE ART OF FUN’s franchise terms.

It is also useful to consider individual workshops, private groups and corporate clients separately. When discussing a potential partnership, candidates should request details of support, training, costs and contractual obligations, and assess these in relation to their proposed location.

Practical takeaway: THE ART OF FUN offers a potential route into a franchise network built around creative experiences. Before deciding, prospective franchisees should examine the partnership terms and the demands of day-to-day studio management, rather than relying solely on the appeal of the idea.
