Benefit Systems is launching a franchise model for its Zdrofit chain. According to a company announcement reported by PAP Biznes, the Polish Press Agency’s business news service, on 20 October 2026, the offering includes two club formats and support for partners in setting up and running their businesses. For entrepreneurs considering franchising in Poland, this creates a new opportunity to work with a brand that already has more than 250 clubs across 60 cities.
Franchising aims to accelerate Zdrofit’s expansion
Benefit Systems identifies three objectives for the new model: accelerating Zdrofit’s expansion, improving access to sports facilities and further developing the MultiSport ecosystem. Franchising is therefore intended not only to grow the club network itself, but also to expand the range of sports facilities linked to the group’s offering.
The announcement describes Zdrofit as Poland’s largest fitness chain. It currently has more than 250 clubs across 60 cities and serves over 360,000 customers. These figures reflect the scale of the established brand that franchise partners will be joining, rather than the number of sites already operating under the new model.
This distinction matters for prospective franchisees. The announcement concerns the introduction of franchising within an established chain, not the creation of a brand from scratch. Zdrofit’s existing reach demonstrates its presence in the Polish market, but should not be treated as a forecast of any individual future club’s performance. Each investment requires a separate assessment of the location and partnership terms.
Two formats: from 300 to 1,200 sq m
Two options will be available under the franchise model. Zdrofit Express is designed for premises of 300–500 sq m, while Zdrofit is intended for sites of 800–1,200 sq m. Entrepreneurs can therefore choose between a smaller club and one requiring substantially more space.
These floor area ranges provide a useful starting point for anyone who already has premises or is beginning a property search. They allow an initial assessment of whether a potential site fits either format. However, meeting the size requirements alone does not make a property suitable for a fitness club — location selection is one of the areas in which the chain has pledged support.
When comparing the options, it is important to distinguish the size of the premises from the full scope of the investment. Floor area is a starting point for discussion, not a complete cost estimate. Prospective franchisees should ask about the fit-out, equipment and operating requirements for each format before making any lease commitments.
Nor should the smaller format be assumed to involve a particular approach to customer service. The Zdrofit Express name and floor area range describe one version of the offering, but do not, in themselves, determine how the club will operate.
MultiSport and support for partners
A key part of the proposition is access to the Benefit Systems ecosystem, which includes nearly 1.9 million MultiSport card users. The company links the franchise launch to the continued development of this ecosystem and improved access to places where people can exercise.
This figure needs to be interpreted carefully. The MultiSport user base is not the same as Zdrofit’s customer base of more than 360,000. The two figures describe different parts of the business and should neither be added together nor presented as the number of customers a new franchisee can expect to attract.
Partners are set to receive support with financing, location selection, opening and running their clubs. Benefit Systems also says partners will benefit from the company’s economies of scale. The proposed support therefore covers both the investment preparation stage and subsequent day-to-day operations.
For prospective franchisees, these are areas to explore in detail. Support with financing should not automatically be understood to mean that the franchisor will cover the investment costs. Similarly, the benefits of economies of scale need to be set out in concrete commercial terms before an entrepreneur can factor them into a financial plan.
What to check before committing
Zdrofit’s new offering gives entrepreneurs considering the Polish franchise market a clear starting point: an established chain, two floor area ranges and a commitment to support at successive stages of running a club. The most important next step for interested entrepreneurs is to obtain the detailed partnership terms.
Discussions with the chain should establish the total budget needed to open the chosen format, the required personal capital contribution, franchise-related fees and the division of responsibilities for preparing and running the site. The arrangements for serving MultiSport users and settling payments for their visits should be addressed separately.
Preparing for discussions in this way will help distinguish the strengths of the wider network from the assumptions relating to a specific location. The number of clubs and the size of the ecosystem provide important context, but an investment decision should be based on the contract terms and financial projections for the chosen site.
Practical takeaway: first check whether your premises fit one of the two formats, then request the full financial and operating terms. Only then should you assess whether joining the network is financially viable.
