Mixue Franchisees Highlight Operational Support for Outlet Expansion

Operational support is one of the factors underpinning the expansion of Mixue franchise outlets in Indonesia. In a report published by Republika on 27 October 2026, two franchisees who had each been with the business for four years highlighted the role of ingredient supplies, working systems and head office guidance in supporting their businesses. Their experiences offer an insight into the support behind the growth of Mixue’s franchise network.

From Day-to-Day Management to Outlet Expansion

Anggi, one of the Mixue franchisees featured by Republika, currently manages eight outlets and is developing three more. After four years with the franchise, Anggi cited consumer enthusiasm, ingredient availability, responsive supervisors and promotional support as factors that help with running the business.

Anggi’s account presents head office support as an ongoing part of operating an outlet, rather than simply something provided at the start of the franchise relationship. Supplies, guidance and promotion have all played a role in managing several locations at once. The three additional outlets are still under development; the report does not say that they have all opened.

Another perspective came from Evi, who has also been a franchisee for four years. Evi highlighted brand strength, operating systems, product innovation and support from the head office team as factors underpinning the business. This experience also encouraged Evi to continue the franchise relationship and pursue further outlet expansion.

The two accounts provide a perspective on how the franchise relationship works at outlet level. However, their experiences should not be taken as a measure of results across all Mixue franchisees. What both accounts illustrate is the importance of operational support in their decisions to continue and expand their businesses.

Support Covers Location Selection, Training and Operations

According to the 2026 Interim Financial Report cited by Republika, Mixue supports franchisees with everything from location selection and training to outlet operations. This scope suggests that the company’s relationship with franchisees extends beyond use of the brand or the initial opening stage.

Location selection takes place during preparation, while training and operational support help franchisees get ready to run their outlets. In Anggi’s experience, responsive supervisors are one element that helps with management. Evi, meanwhile, emphasised operating systems and support from the head office team.

These two accounts show a connection between the support described by the company and the aspects franchisees consider important. Guidance has practical value when it helps meet the needs of running a business, rather than merely forming part of the franchise offer.

For the franchising community, these experiences are a reminder to assess a franchise opportunity as a whole. Brand appeal is one consideration, but prospective franchisees also need to understand how training is delivered, how outlet-level problems are handled and what support is available after opening. These questions help focus the assessment on how the franchise relationship works day to day.

An Integrated Supply Chain Supports Consistency

Mixue also relies on an integrated supply chain to support franchisees’ operational efficiency and competitiveness. In the same report, ingredient availability and product consistency were identified as important elements in maintaining service quality at every outlet.

The role of supply is reflected in Anggi’s experience, with ingredient availability listed among the factors supporting the business. Attention to outlet growth therefore goes hand in hand with ensuring that operators have the ingredients they need.

Supply chains and operational guidance play complementary roles in this account of the franchise relationship. The company describes support through an integrated supply system, while franchisees highlight the benefits of ingredient availability and a responsive support team. Both underpin the work of outlets serving customers directly.

Nevertheless, these accounts are neither a measure of profitability nor a guarantee that new locations will succeed. The operational experiences should be understood within their limits: as explanations of the factors that help franchisees run their businesses, not as forecasts of financial performance.

Lessons for Prospective Franchisees

Anggi’s outlet expansion and Evi’s plans for further growth show how decisions to continue a franchise relationship are linked to the experience of running the business. In their accounts, the brand, systems, supplies, product innovation, promotion and head office support are interconnected considerations.

For prospective franchisees, a practical next step is to request a detailed explanation of the support available before and after an outlet opens. Check the scope of assistance with location selection, the training provided, supply arrangements and communication channels with supervisors. Use existing franchisees’ experiences to inform questions and verification, rather than treating them as a promise that every outlet will achieve the same results.
