PT Indo Boga Sukses Tbk (IBOS) has expanded its café network with a flagship Segafredo Caffè in Palagan, Sleman, in Indonesia’s Special Region of Yogyakarta. The outlet began trading on 30 October 2026, with its official opening scheduled for 7 November 2026. This is the latest development for the Italian café brand in Indonesia under an exclusive franchise development agreement.
Palagan Outlet Begins Welcoming Customers
The Segafredo Caffè outlet is located on Jalan Tentara Pelajar in Palagan, Sleman. In a regulatory disclosure dated 4 November 2026, reported by IDXChannel and Pasardana, IBOS said the opening formed part of the expansion of its café business network.
The company announced two stages to the opening. Initial trading began on 30 October, followed by an official opening scheduled for 7 November. The official opening date is therefore not the outlet’s first day of business. This distinction helps visitors understand when the café is open and when the opening event will take place.
IBOS describes the Yogyakarta location as a flagship outlet. It adds to the company’s café network, as PT Indo Boga Sukses Tbk President Director Edi Nugroho noted in the disclosure.
Administratively, the outlet is in Sleman Regency, within the Special Region of Yogyakarta. This gives visitors a more precise location than the general reference to Yogyakarta used in the company’s expansion announcement.
Combining Italian Offerings with Asian Dishes
The Palagan outlet serves Italian-style espresso-based drinks, Italian dishes and home-style Asian food. Its menu therefore extends beyond coffee to cater for customers looking for a meal.
According to Edi’s comments reported by IDXChannel, the outlet offers both indoor and outdoor seating. These dining spaces were among the facilities highlighted in the opening announcement, alongside the food and drink selection.
Espresso and Italian dishes convey the brand’s Italian identity, while Asian dishes broaden the menu. For readers assessing the franchise market, this combination provides a concrete picture of the outlet’s concept: an international brand offering coffee, food and a choice of dining spaces in one location.
The company’s announcement focuses on these menu categories and facilities. The opening is therefore best understood as the addition of a location with the service concept described by the company, rather than as a report on sales or evidence of the new outlet’s commercial success.
IBOS Holds the Development Rights
IBOS’s relationship with Segafredo Caffè is based on an Exclusive Franchise Development Agreement. Under this agreement, the company holds the rights to develop the brand in Indonesia and expand its network in the domestic market.
IDXChannel reported that IBOS has held exclusive franchise rights from Segafredo Zannetti Espresso Worldwide Ltd since April 2025. This marked a transfer of rights from PT Multi Boga Makmur, which had previously opened branches in Jakarta and Bekasi.
This history provides important context for the Sleman opening. The Yogyakarta outlet does not mark Segafredo Caffè’s debut in Indonesia. Rather, it is the latest addition under IBOS’s development programme following the change in rights holder.
For the franchise community, knowing who holds the rights is essential when tracking a brand’s development. In this case, the opening announcement identifies IBOS as the developer. Exclusive development rights should be distinguished from partnership opportunities offered to prospective outlet operators; the two are not interchangeable.
Expanding from the Airport to Yogyakarta
Before opening its Yogyakarta flagship, IBOS launched its first outlet in the Terminal 3 departures area at Soekarno-Hatta Airport in Tangerang. The Palagan opening continues the company’s network development following that airport location.
These two locations illustrate the development footprint announced so far: an airport departures outlet and a flagship in Sleman. They demonstrate the addition of service locations, but do not, on their own, establish the total size of Segafredo Caffè’s Indonesian network or the likely pace of future expansion.
The confirmed development at this stage is the expansion of IBOS’s café network through the Palagan outlet, together with the initial trading date, official opening schedule, menu options and facilities announced by the company.
Practical note: Prospective franchise partners can use this opening announcement to identify the developer and understand the outlet concept. Verify the development rights and the availability of any partnership arrangements separately before making a business decision.
