Two new brand filings have been reported in China’s franchise sector. According to financial news outlet JRJ, information on the Ministry of Commerce website shows that Weifang Shizixiang Food Co., Ltd. and Xinjiang VSIMAN Brand Management Co., Ltd. completed franchise filings on 26 and 28 October 2026 respectively, for the brands Shizixiang (食仔香) and VSIMAN. For prospective franchisees considering either brand, the registered company names and filing dates offer a concrete starting point for checking the details of a proposed partnership.
Shizixiang: the filing company is based in Gaomi, Shandong
JRJ reported on 27 October that Weifang Shizixiang Food Co., Ltd. had completed its franchise filing the previous day, naming Shizixiang as its franchise brand. The filing establishes the link between the brand and the company on record.
According to corporate information platform Tianyancha, as cited in the report, the company was established on 19 March 2021. Its legal representative is Zhang Guiliang, its registered capital is RMB 100,000, and its main business is food manufacturing. Its address is No. 860, south side of Xingtan West Street, Dahu New Village, Mishui Subdistrict, Gaomi, Weifang, Shandong Province.
Prospective business partners should use the company’s full Chinese name, 潍坊食仔香食品有限公司, when conducting checks, rather than searching only for the brand name. Before signing, they should also verify how the entities named in franchise recruitment materials, contracts and payment details relate to one another.
VSIMAN: Xinjiang brand management company completes filing
JRJ reported on 29 October that Xinjiang VSIMAN Brand Management Co., Ltd. had completed its franchise filing on 28 October, naming VSIMAN as its franchise brand.
According to Tianyancha information cited in the report, the company was established on 21 April 2025. Its legal representative is Gu Xinyi, its registered capital is RMB 100,000, and its main business is business services. Its registered address is within the commercial and office buildings of Urumqi Economic Development Zone Wanda Plaza, at 555 Xuanwuhu Road, Urumqi Economic and Technological Development Zone (Toutunhe District), Xinjiang.
The immediate value of this record is that it identifies the filing company associated with VSIMAN. When assessing a potential partnership, prospective franchisees should check the brand name, full company name — 新疆薇斯曼品牌管理有限公司 — and filing date together, rather than relying on the brand name alone to identify the contracting party.
Which authority handles franchise filings?
Both reports refer to Article 3 of the Measures for the Administration of Record-filing of Commercial Franchises. It designates the Ministry of Commerce and the commerce departments of provincial, autonomous region and directly administered municipal governments as the authorities responsible for franchise filings.
Franchisors operating within a single province, autonomous region or directly administered municipality must file with the provincial-level commerce authority where they are based. Those operating across these administrative boundaries must file with the Ministry of Commerce.
A company’s location and the authority responsible for its filing should therefore be considered separately. After seeing a brand’s filing announcement, prospective franchisees should check the company details in the filing record rather than infer the geographical scope of its operations from its location alone.
From verifying the company to assessing the partnership
These two filings relate to a food manufacturer and a brand management company respectively. Both have registered capital of RMB 100,000, but each opportunity should be assessed on its own contract terms, fee arrangements and head-office support. The matching capital figures alone are not a sound basis for comparison.
In practice, prospective franchisees can start by saving the filing search results, then asking the franchise recruitment team to explain in writing which entity will sign the contract, which will receive payments and how the brand licensing arrangements work. Fees and service commitments should then be checked individually.
Practical tip: treat the filing as a starting point for verifying the identity of a potential business partner. Before making an investment decision, also confirm the contract terms and the support that will actually be provided.
