FranquiDay returns to Neuquén on 12 November 2026

Neuquén, Argentina, will once again host FranquiDay on Thursday 12 November 2026, with a day dedicated to connecting franchises from across the country with investors and entrepreneurs. Organised by NegoZona, the event will run from 09:30 to 18:00 at Butaco, at Obrero Argentino 1101. It comes as several brands include the city in their expansion plans.

A day to speak directly with brands

Following its first edition in 2025, FranquiDay returns to Neuquén with a format centred on one-to-one meetings. According to the announcement published by Río Negro on 29 October, attendees will be able to explore business models, speak to brand representatives and assess options suited to their interests and investment capacity.

The event aims to help people make connections to develop businesses in the city and surrounding area. For the franchise community, it offers an opportunity for dialogue between those looking to expand their networks and those considering becoming local operators.

Speaking directly allows prospective investors to ask specific questions before taking a proposal further. Useful topics to prepare include the capital required, premises specifications, the level of involvement expected of the franchisee and the support each brand provides. These factors help distinguish an opportunity that suits an investor’s profile from one that requires different resources or capabilities.

Neuquén features in expansion plans

The event’s return comes against a backdrop of brand interest in the region. The latest survey by the Argentine Association of Brands and Franchises (AAMF), conducted with the Córdoba Franchise Cluster across 60 brands, provides a concrete indication: of the 50 brands with expansion plans, 12 included Neuquén among their target destinations.

During the first half of 2026, the networks surveyed increased their number of outlets by 1.9%. In addition, 83.3% were actively seeking new franchisees. These findings relate to that sample and should not be interpreted as a comprehensive picture of all franchises operating in Argentina.

The report also notes that the search for new locations has become more selective, with particular attention paid to formats and operating costs. A city’s inclusion among preferred destinations therefore does not amount to a confirmed opening: the business conditions, location and operator’s profile still need to align.

A restaurant opening reflects local interest

A specific development helps illustrate this interest in Neuquén. Fabric Sushi plans to open its first franchise in the city in late November, in a terrace setting with an indoor dining area, order collection and home delivery. Franquisia reported the news based on an article published by Forbes Argentina on 16 October.

Ahead of the opening, the local team is receiving three weeks of training in Buenos Aires. Gaspard Hambückers, expansion director at Fabric Group, also said the group was considering a second outlet in the city within two years. That possibility remains under consideration rather than being a committed opening.

The announcement is an example of expansion into Neuquén, but it does not imply that Fabric Sushi will take part in FranquiDay. The two developments demonstrate the city’s place on the franchise community’s agenda in different ways: one through a planned opening and the other through an event designed to build business connections.

How to make the most of the meetings

For attendees, a little preparation can make each conversation more useful. It is worth deciding in advance how much capital can be allocated to the project, how much time is available to manage the business and whether premises have already been secured or a preferred area identified.

It is also advisable to request an investment breakdown and ask which expenses are excluded from the proposed budget. Comparing proposals means distinguishing between initial outlays, recurring payments and working capital requirements, without mistaking commercial projections for guaranteed results.

Practical tip: arriving at FranquiDay with a budget and written questions will help you make better use of the meetings and decide which proposals warrant a more detailed assessment afterwards.
