Mobility City Franchisees Expand Across Arkansas and Missouri

Mobility City franchisees Joe and Jennifer Stewart have acquired the brand’s Springfield, Missouri, location as they build a three-location business spanning two states. Announced on 29 October 2026, the acquisition follows their purchase of the Rogers, Arkansas, franchise and a commitment to open a Fayetteville showroom in November 2026.

Acquisition brings an established location into the business

Mobility City describes Springfield as the highest-revenue franchise location in its nationwide network. Its acquisition gives the Stewarts an established operation alongside their Rogers business, while Fayetteville remains a forthcoming opening.

The company has named the Stewarts its first franchisee couple to own three locations. That milestone needs to be read alongside the opening timetable: although the couple’s portfolio covers three locations, the announcement schedules the Fayetteville showroom to begin trading in November.

The sequence combines two routes to franchise expansion. The Stewarts initially entered the network by purchasing Mobility City of Rogers, then committed to a new showroom in Fayetteville before acquiring Springfield. Their business therefore brings together existing locations and a planned opening, rather than three newly launched sites.

For the US franchise community, the announcement offers a specific example of existing owners expanding within a brand through both acquisition and new development. It also shifts the focus from the recruitment of new franchisees to the commitments made by people already in the network.

A three-location customer service ambition

Mobility City specialises in mobility equipment repair, rental and sales. The Stewarts’ expansion extends their business across Arkansas and Missouri, with two locations in Northwest Arkansas and the acquired Springfield operation in Missouri.

In the announcement, the couple set out an expectation that the three locations would guide more than 3,000 people each month towards mobility equipment suited to their individual needs.

That figure is a forward-looking service ambition, not a reported current customer total. It covers Springfield, Rogers and Fayetteville together, including the showroom that had yet to open when the announcement was issued.

The distinction is important when assessing the scale of the expansion. Springfield’s position as the network’s highest-revenue franchise is a company-reported measure of an existing business. The monthly customer expectation, by contrast, describes what the owners hope their combined operation will achieve.

Neither measure should be treated as a forecast of the Stewarts’ future revenue or profit. The announcement presents a growth plan and an acquisition milestone, rather than financial results for the combined business.

Existing owners form part of the growth strategy

The Stewarts’ expansion sits within a wider pattern of additional-location commitments at Mobility City. According to the company, nine other franchise owners already operate two locations each, while more than 20 owners have committed to developing a second location or more.

Mobility City uses its own definition of multi-location franchise ownership: operating three or more locations. The Stewarts are the first couple in the network to reach the ownership milestone described in the announcement. This does not mean they are the only franchisees with more than one business, as the figures for two-location owners make clear.

The company identifies expansion by existing franchisees as an important component of its national growth strategy. The distinction between operating locations and development commitments remains central, however: an agreement to develop another site is not the same as an additional location already serving customers.

National targets remain longer-term ambitions

Headquartered in Boca Raton, Florida, Mobility City is a woman-owned franchise network founded by Diane and Vinny Baratta. It reports more than 66 operating locations and a total of 115 locations committed nationwide.

Its longer-term strategy aims for 300 locations nationwide and potentially $300 million in annual systemwide sales within five years. Those figures are company ambitions, not current network results. Systemwide sales also describe sales across the network, rather than the income of an individual franchisee.

The Stewarts’ next stated operational milestone is the planned November opening in Fayetteville, bringing the new showroom into service alongside Rogers and Springfield.

Practical takeaway: Prospective franchise buyers should distinguish acquired businesses, planned openings and development commitments when assessing growth announcements—and keep customer targets separate from demonstrated financial performance.
