Franchising in Italy: Ameconviene.it, Mr. Pling and Fortidia

A new multi-service hub project, franchise applications for a Chinese dumpling restaurant chain and a European award for a group operating in 56 countries. The September 2026 news about Ameconviene.it, Mr. Pling and Fortidia offers three perspectives on Italy’s franchising community: developing a business model, recruiting franchisees and strengthening an international presence.

Ameconviene.it: a project starting with 150 outlets

Adventure SpA is launching the Ameconviene.it franchise project, aiming to bring advice, comparison services and services for households’ main needs together in a single physical location. Reported by ANSA on 26 September, the news concerns the gradual development of a national network of multi-service hubs.

The starting point is an existing footprint of 150 outlets, comprising 120 QuiPoste shops and 30 ameconviene.it shops. This is an important distinction: the total describes the existing network on which the project will build, not 150 new openings or 150 outlets already trading under the same brand.

The model’s official presentation is scheduled for the Salone del Franchising Milano, from 1 to 3 October 2026, as also reported by il Giornale. The Milan franchise exhibition is therefore the next announced opportunity to learn more about the project.

For prospective franchisees, the key feature is the combination of several services in one location. However, the available information does not specify the investment required, the financial terms of the agreement or the timetable for new openings. Before assessing the opportunity, prospective investors will need to distinguish the scale of the existing network from the terms of the new franchise offer.

Mr. Pling: applications open for dumpling restaurant franchises

In the food sector, Mr. Pling is preparing a new opening in Salerno, following Rome and Ischia. According to a report published by L’Express Franchise on 23 September, the brand was founded by Eric Lu, a TikTok creator and former chef, who opened the first outlet in Rome’s Esquilino district in late 2024.

The brand describes itself as Italy’s first franchised Chinese dumpling restaurant chain. This should be understood as the brand’s stated positioning, rather than a claim independently verified by the available information.

The invitation to prospective franchisees includes a financial requirement: a minimum investment of €100,000. The application form on the official website asks candidates to state their available investment funds, with bands of €100,000–€150,000 and more than €150,000 up to €200,000. Applicants are also asked whether the money comes from personal funds or borrowing.

These details outline the initial screening of candidates, but do not in themselves constitute a full estimate of opening costs. The material cited in the research includes neither a cost breakdown nor an indication of the investment payback period. The Salerno outlet also remains an opening in preparation in the report: no launch date is given.

Fortidia: gold at the European Franchise Awards

On the international front, Fortidia won first prize in the International Brand of the Year 2026 category at the European Franchise Awards. The ceremony, organised by the European Franchise Federation, took place in Brussels on 17 September.

The report dated 23 September identifies Fortidia as the umbrella brand of the MBE Worldwide group and states that it has more than 3,200 centres in 56 countries. These are international figures and should not be interpreted as the number of outlets in Italy alone.

The award recognises a business with an already extensive network and differs in nature from the Ameconviene.it and Mr. Pling announcements. It does not announce a new franchise offer or a specific opening in Italy, but records an award presented within the European franchising community.

Three stories, three different assessments

Taken together, these announcements show why development projects, franchisee recruitment and awards should be considered separately. For Ameconviene.it, the next milestone is the presentation in Milan; for Mr. Pling, the financial requirements for applicants are the key consideration; for Fortidia, the verifiable event is the European award, alongside the stated scale of its international network.

Practical guidance: anyone considering a franchise should use these stories as a starting point, then request documentation on costs, included services and contractual obligations. An existing network, an investment threshold and an award each tell a different story: none, on its own, is enough to assess the viability of an individual outlet.
