Hilton in Mykonos: New Franchised Resort Planned for 2027
Pieria-based Vasileios Lamprou is planning a 75-room resort at Super Paradise, with an investment of nearly €30 million.

Hilton is preparing to expand its presence on Mykonos through a franchise agreement, with the Hilton Mykonos Beach Resort & Spa scheduled to open on Super Paradise beach in spring 2027. The developer is Vasileios Lamprou – Hotel Enterprises S.A., a company based in Pieria, northern Greece. This new partnership between a Greek business and an international hotel brand adds another project to Greece’s franchise landscape.
The agreement and timetable
According to a Financial Report article published on 19 October 2026, the Pieria-based company has secured a franchise partnership with Hilton for the new property. The total investment is close to €30 million, with discussions between the two parties having begun in 2023.
The resort is scheduled to begin operating in spring 2027. According to the report, Hilton has already announced the hotel’s opening on its corporate website, while making clear that bookings are not yet being accepted.
This distinction matters: the project has been announced and is under development, but it is not yet an operating hotel. Spring 2027 should therefore be understood as the planned opening date, rather than confirmation that the property is already available for stays or bookings.
For Greece’s franchise community, this news concerns an agreement involving named parties, a specific location and a defined investment project. It goes beyond a general intention to seek partners or enter the market at some future point.
A 75-room development at Super Paradise
The new resort is being developed on a 4.5-hectare site on Super Paradise beach. According to the same report, the Pieria-based company acquired the land after 2020, and construction of the complex is under way.
The plans provide for 75 rooms and suites. Almost half will have private pools, a key feature of the announced accommodation mix. The hotel will also include two restaurants and two bars, as well as indoor and outdoor swimming pools.
A wellness centre is among the planned facilities, while the report also states that event spaces have been created. The description therefore points to a complex combining accommodation, dining, leisure and event hosting, rather than simply a collection of rooms operating under an international brand.
These figures illustrate the scale of this particular investment project. They do not, however, provide evidence of its future commercial performance. Capacity, facilities and investment value describe the development without predicting occupancy levels, room rates or financial returns.
How it differs from Semeli Coast
The Hilton Mykonos Beach Resort & Spa is presented as Hilton’s second resort on Mykonos, following Semeli Coast. There is, however, an important distinction between the two properties: Semeli Coast belongs to the Curio Collection, whereas the new hotel is intended to operate under the core Hilton brand.
This distinction helps put the news in context. It is not Hilton’s first presence on the island, but a new development with a different position within its brand portfolio. The new property also has a named Greek business partner, Vasileios Lamprou – Hotel Enterprises S.A.
For those following hotel franchise agreements, identifying the exact brand matters: the corporate group and each hotel’s individual brand identity are not interchangeable concepts.
Key points for the franchise community
The development links a Greek hotel investment with an international franchise partnership, with operations planned to begin in 2027. Its significance lies in the combination of a local investor, a specific development at Super Paradise and the choice of the Hilton brand for the new property.
The progression from discussions in 2023 to a planned opening in 2027 also illustrates the timeline of this particular partnership. It is not a general benchmark for other agreements, but it provides useful context for understanding this project.
Practical takeaway: Anyone assessing a hotel franchise partnership needs to distinguish between the agreement, progress on the investment and the actual start of operations. In the Mykonos project, the next significant milestone is the planned opening in spring 2027; bookings are not yet being accepted.
