Bonjour Services is preparing for a new phase of franchise expansion. Following an opening in Avignon in September 2026 and a planned launch in Compiègne in early November, the brand is targeting ten new locations in 2027. This ambition accompanies a shift towards domestic cleaning and housekeeping, under way since its acquisition by Babychou Services in January 2024.
Network set to reach eight locations
The Avignon opening is the first tangible sign of this new phase. Compiègne is due to follow in early November 2026, bringing the network to eight locations in France, according to information published by Aladom on 26 October.
Bonjour Services is then targeting ten additional locations in 2027. This is an expansion target, not a tally of completed openings. If delivered in full, the programme alone would add more locations than the network will have after the Compiègne launch.
For those in the franchise sector, the announcement is therefore noteworthy for two reasons: it concerns a relatively small network and follows a period spent reorganising its operations. The next step will be to turn this target into actual openings while continuing to support existing branches.
Domestic cleaning and housekeeping at the heart of the repositioning
Bonjour Services has been owned by Babychou Services since January 2024. The brand is now part of a group comprising Babychou Services, Bonjour Services and Family Sphere, chaired by Claire Lanneau. Anaëlle Goliot oversees operations as head of the brand.
Several initiatives have been launched since the acquisition. Bonjour Services has been refocused on domestic cleaning and housekeeping, its procedures have been reviewed, resources have been pooled and support for branches has been strengthened.
According to the press release reported by Aladom, this work is intended to serve two objectives: branch performance and geographical coverage. The expansion announced for 2027 is therefore a continuation of this operational overhaul, rather than simply an increase in the number of locations.
For a prospective franchisee, this refocusing is an important point to examine. It calls for a close look at both the services offered to customers and the resources provided by the franchisor. In particular, the shared resources and promised support should be assessed against the practical needs of the proposed local business.
A stated total investment of €65,000
Bonjour Services offers a seven-year franchise agreement. The network quotes an initial franchise fee of €20,000, a personal capital contribution of €20,000 and a total investment of €65,000.
These three figures refer to different things: the initial franchise fee provides access to the network under the terms of the agreement, while the personal capital contribution is the funding the applicant provides from their own resources. When arranging finance, applicants should clarify exactly what the stated total investment covers, rather than automatically adding the three figures together.
The stated royalty is 3.5% of turnover excluding VAT, with VAT also excluded from the quoted fee. A marketing contribution is payable in addition, at a rising rate: 2% of turnover in the first year, 2.5% in the second and 3% from the third year onwards.
This increase should be factored into financial forecasts from the outset. Looking only at first-year costs would not reflect the scheduled rise in the marketing contribution over the term of the agreement.
Urban and suburban territories, with rural proposals also considered
Bonjour Services targets urban and suburban areas with around 120,000 households. However, the brand says it also considers rural proposals. Its expansion is therefore not presented as being restricted to major urban areas.
Prospective franchisees should assess their chosen territory against these location criteria. The willingness to consider a rural proposal does not, in itself, confirm its viability: it opens a discussion with the network about the characteristics of the proposed area.
Key takeaway: before applying, check your proposed territory against Bonjour Services’ criteria, request a detailed breakdown of the €65,000 investment and factor the rising marketing contribution into your financial forecasts.
