Pincho Nation opens on Friday 23 October 2026 on Rådhusstræde in Køge, Denmark, and interest is already strong. According to Sjællandske Nyheder, 3,600 people have signed up for the chance to book a table before bookings open to the general public. The restaurant is backed by a franchise team that is also involved in Pincho Nation in Roskilde and operates five Burger King restaurants.
Strong interest ahead of opening day
The official opening takes place at 3pm, when Køge’s mayor, Ken Kristensen, will cut the ribbon. The restaurant will seat around 140 guests, with outdoor dining also available during the summer months.
The 3,600 sign-ups are for early access to table bookings. The figure therefore does not represent confirmed reservations or opening-day guests, but shows how many people have registered to be among the first to book.
Most of those who have signed up will be notified when they can reserve a table. Bookings will open to the general public a couple of days before the opening. Being on the interest list is therefore different from having secured a table at the new restaurant.
For Denmark’s franchise sector, the opening marks the local expansion of an established concept. Pincho Nation has operated in Denmark since 2018, and Køge will become another location for the Swedish-founded restaurant brand.
Franchisees with a multi-restaurant track record
The ownership group consists of Dipendra Chaudhary and three brothers, Arjun, Jegan and Harison Manoharan. This is the same franchise team behind Pincho Nation in Roskilde. Alongside its involvement in the two Pincho Nation restaurants, the group operates five Burger King restaurants on the Danish islands of Zealand and Falster.
The Køge opening is therefore not the group’s first experience of restaurant operations or franchising. It adds another local restaurant to a portfolio that already spans several locations and two different restaurant concepts.
In a press release, Dipendra Chaudhary describes the preparations:
After several intense months of refurbishing and transforming the premises, we are delighted that it is now time to welcome guests.
He also highlights that the team for the Køge restaurant is now in place, with work ahead of the opening focused on finalising the details. Both the refurbishment and the recruitment of the local team have therefore been central to preparations for the new location.
Trial evenings to fine-tune operations
Trial evenings are planned before the official opening. These will allow the team to test and improve workflows between the kitchen, bar and front-of-house staff before the restaurant opens to the public.
The trial evenings give preparations a practical focus: testing how the different parts of the restaurant work together. The kitchen needs to deliver the dishes, the bar the drinks, and the front-of-house team needs to ensure service runs smoothly throughout each visit. These evenings are therefore part of getting operations ready, rather than the official opening.
This combination defines the story in Køge: a substantial interest list on one side, and practical work on staffing, premises and workflows on the other. Pre-opening interest reflects the attention the restaurant is attracting, while the trial evenings focus on the experience guests will have once they arrive.
Small plates and app-based ordering
The menu features tapas-style dishes inspired by cuisines from around the world. Dishes cost between DKK 25 and DKK 65, while the drinks selection includes colourful cocktails and mocktails.
Guests use the Pincho app to reserve a table, order and pay. The digital experience is therefore part of the visit from booking through to payment. The restaurant combines this self-service approach with its premises on Rådhusstræde and the local team assembled for the opening.
Beyond Køge and Roskilde, Pincho Nation has locations in Danish cities including Esbjerg, Copenhagen and Odense. The new opening adds Køge to the list of places in Denmark where guests can experience the concept.
Practical takeaway: If you want to visit around the opening, remember that joining the interest list is not the same as having a confirmed reservation. Look out for your booking notification and use the Pincho app to plan your visit.
