Northern Ireland’s Galgorm Resort and Roe Valley Resort feature in a new partnership between Wyndham Hotels & Resorts and HotelREZ Hotels & Resorts, bringing independent luxury properties into Wyndham’s Registry Collection Hotels. Announced on 2 November 2026, the agreement provides a local connection to a wider international hotel brand expansion.
More than 40 hotels expected by early 2027
Wyndham and HotelREZ said more than 40 luxury hotels belonging to Elegant Hotels of the World will have joined Registry Collection Hotels by early next year. Integrations are already under way, with additional properties to be selectively introduced afterwards.
HotelREZ is a hotel representation platform and the operator of Elegant Hotels of the World. The agreement therefore connects an existing group of independent hotels with Wyndham’s collection brand, rather than announcing a programme of newly built hotels.
Galgorm is explicitly named among the properties expected to have joined by early 2027. Other named hotels include The TownHouse Mykonos in Greece, TreeHouse Villas Koh Yao in Thailand and Rosselli AX Privilege in Malta.
Roe Valley Resort also appears among the properties highlighted in the partnership announcement. The announcement does not provide an individual integration date for either Northern Ireland resort, so the collection-wide timetable should not be read as a confirmed launch date for each property.
Two established Northern Ireland destinations
Galgorm Resort, described in the announcement as near Belfast, occupies 550 acres of parkland along the River Maine. The AA Five-Star resort combines accommodation with its Thermal Spa Village, championship golf and other leisure facilities.
Its inclusion brings an established Northern Ireland resort into the international expansion story. This is a brand-affiliation development involving an existing destination, not the opening of a new Galgorm property.
Roe Valley Resort, described as near Derry/Londonderry on Northern Ireland’s Causeway Coast, is a four-star country retreat set within 155 acres of parkland. It overlooks its own 18-hole golf course and offers accommodation, dining, spa and leisure facilities.
The two properties give the announcement a distinct Northern Ireland dimension. Both combine overnight accommodation with substantial leisure facilities, although their settings, acreage and star classifications differ. Their inclusion also places Northern Ireland alongside Mediterranean and Asian destinations in the properties showcased by Wyndham and HotelREZ.
A collection built around independent hotels
The partnership centres on independent luxury hotels joining a shared collection brand. Wyndham describes the participating properties as independent and design-driven, with the announcement highlighting their individual locations, facilities and identities.
That distinction matters for Ireland’s franchise community. A hotel joining a collection should not automatically be presented as a new-build opening, a change of ownership or a conventional franchise sale. The announced development is the integration of Elegant member hotels into Registry Collection Hotels through the Wyndham–HotelREZ partnership.
The announcement does not set out the individual contractual arrangements for Galgorm or Roe Valley Resort. It also does not disclose property-level fees, investment requirements or ownership changes. Those details cannot be inferred simply from the resorts’ appearance in the collection expansion.
For prospective business partners, the useful distinction is between the consumer-facing brand announcement and the commercial agreement behind it. The former is public here; the detailed terms for each Northern Ireland property are not.
What Irish operators should watch next
The next concrete milestone is the planned integration of more than 40 hotels by early 2027. Further additions are envisaged, but Wyndham and HotelREZ have described those as selective rather than announcing a fixed subsequent total.
For Northern Ireland, the immediate news is the participation of established hospitality destinations in a wider international collection. The announcement does not provide a forecast for local jobs, visitor numbers or capital spending, and should not be treated as evidence of increases in those areas.
Practical takeaway: Operators considering a hotel collection or franchise relationship should establish the precise agreement, costs and obligations before comparing opportunities. For Galgorm and Roe Valley Resort, the confirmed story is collection expansion—not a newly announced hotel opening or a publicly detailed franchise offer.
