New Franchise Models from Nardini, Farmscraft and Benzoville

Nardini’s company-operated model, Farmscraft’s showroom expansion plan and Benzoville’s inventory-free offer give investors distinct options in India.

New Franchise Models from Nardini, Farmscraft and Benzoville

Recent announcements in India’s franchise sector offer different approaches to investment and operations. Scottish ice cream and coffee brand Nardini has entered India with a company-operated model. Meanwhile, handcrafted furniture brand Farmscraft has outlined plans to expand through franchise showrooms, and luxury architectural hardware brand Benzoville has announced a nationwide inventory-free franchise programme. Each offer involves a different role for the investor and a different business structure.

Nardini: partner-owned, company-operated

According to a Franchise TV report dated 21 October 2026, Nardini has entered India through a strategic collaboration with FranGlobal, the international business arm of Franchise India Group. The brand will expand in India through a model in which the franchise partner owns the business and the company runs it.

The announcement goes beyond the brand’s market entry. Nardini has said it will provide franchise partners with launch support, staff training and ongoing assistance. The brand will also offer a three- to six-month incubator programme. Its stated purpose is to help operations run smoothly while maintaining the brand’s standards and identity.

When assessing this offer, investors should distinguish between ownership and operational responsibilities. Company management does not automatically mean guaranteed income or freedom from risk. It would be useful to clarify responsibilities for costs, staffing, day-to-day oversight and performance reviews in the proposed contract. The scope of training and launch support should also be set out in writing, so that the promised assistance can be linked to practical responsibilities.

Farmscraft: plans for more than 60 franchise showrooms

According to details published by Franchise TV on 22 October 2026, Farmscraft has announced plans for more than 60 franchise showrooms in India. The handcrafted furniture brand is adopting a franchise-owned, franchise-operated model to expand its business.

The offer specifies showrooms of approximately 3,000 square feet and a franchise investment of INR 5.3–5.5 million (53–55 lakh rupees). These figures give prospective partners an initial indication of the proposed showroom size and investment level. However, more than 60 showrooms is an expansion target, not the number of outlets already open.

Unlike Nardini’s company-operated arrangement, Farmscraft’s proposal also gives the investor an operational role. Comparing the two opportunities solely on investment cost would therefore be insufficient. Prospective partners should consider how much they can participate in day-to-day operations, as well as provide capital for the business.

When reviewing the stated investment, it would be sensible to ask which cost items are included. Seeking separate clarification on premises, showroom fit-out, product displays and initial working capital could help investors make a better-informed decision. These are due diligence questions, not stated terms of the package.

Benzoville: a nationwide inventory-free programme

Benzoville has announced a nationwide franchise programme based on a model that does not require partners to hold inventory. The luxury architectural hardware brand aims to extend its reach beyond major metropolitan areas into India’s smaller, tier-two and tier-three cities.

The key distinction in this proposal is the inventory arrangement. However, an inventory-free model should not be confused with a business requiring no investment or operating expenditure. Prospective partners will need to understand how the process works, from taking a customer’s order to delivering the product, and who is responsible at each stage.

Discussions with the brand could seek clarity on product displays, order confirmation, supply, payments and after-sales support. This information would be particularly useful for investors comparing the model with a physical showroom offer.

How investors should compare the offers

These announcements should not be treated as equivalent franchise propositions. Nardini will be company-operated, Farmscraft will be operated by the franchise partner, and Benzoville’s announcement focuses on inventory arrangements. The first two models define operational responsibility, while the third highlights how stock is held.

Practical takeaway: Before choosing a brand, obtain written details of the total investment, day-to-day responsibilities, scope of support and supply arrangements. Treat expansion announcements as preliminary information; base investment decisions on verified costs and contractual terms.
